For the first time in franchise history, the Thunder will begin a season on home ice. Let's hope that's the recipe for a successful season and a long run into the playoffs.

Better balanced schedule than 09-10. Still really light on home games in December. On the flip side, I like the March/April schedule with 10 of 16 games at home prior to the start of the playoffs. Yes, it is nice to finally open at home. My God, October seems so far away.

Glad that Stockton finally gets to open at home and I kind of like there not being much hockey played at our arena in December because I am usually gone for the holiday season and would probably miss most of them anyway. I don't know about anyone else but it does feel like hockey has been done a long time all ready and it has only been a couple of weeks.
