When we informally met with Dan Chapman prior to the game on the 3rd of this month he made a comment that the ticket takers were supposed to be less imposing on the guests. Purses and bags would be searched as normal, but the dressing down and such should not be happening. If it is, get the name of the person and give it directly to Dan.

Ok enough already. One of my daughters wore a backpack to the game the other night(one she got from the Thunder). After being thouroghly searched, the lady stopped her and said "you dont have any candy in there do you?". Give me a break. After all the damn money we spend there as season ticket holders, from day one, c'mon. I get ripped off by the smaller beers this year, 3 pieces of chicken for 8 dollars, crappy bagged popcorn, and now this. My daughter was speechless. So what if we want to bring in a bag of skittles because we have already spent hundreds of dollars a weekend to be at the games. Dan if you read this, please stop the madness. I mean, are we really that big aof a threat that they have to stop a 6 year old girl and confront her on candy. I wish being a dedicated season ticket holder actually meant something. As usual, sorry for the rant.

Several of us discussed this the other night. Particularly bottled water. I don't see any reason why we can't be allowed to bring in a SEALED bottle of water.

Now, I know that Stockton Arena doesn't have nearly the number of visitors that Disneyland does, nor do they make nearly as much per person that enters. However, Disney searches every single bag that enters the park. Bottled, non-alcoholic beverages (sealed or not) and snacks are allowed. They don't even look twice at them.

The fact is, some people just don't like the water in Stockton. I know most of my friends have some form of water filtration system in their home for drinking water. Now, most of the time, I'm okay with drinking from a water fountain, but I know a lot of people who won't. Especially in REALLY public places like the arena. Nor are most of us willing to pay for one bottle at the arena, the same price as an entire case of bottled water at Costco.

I regularly spend $7-$10 per drink, plus the obscene prices for food, not to mention the thousands of dollars I've spent on tickets over the last five years. At least just let me bring in a bottle of water!

A little out of topic, but I don't. I for one feel in love with not having to filter everything when I moved here last year. It's the best public water I've every had. Try living in the Tri Valley, or East Contra Costa County.
